Hey Oppo I am currently feeling bored. Post your favorite race car (it doesn’t matter if its a car built for drag racing, time attack, etc. or even just cars that are modded for street use ) pics in the comments.

This is a rear-engined front wheel drive V8 Mini Cooper that was built for racing purposes way back when.

Rear-engined front wheel drive? Might as well have made it rear wheel at that point. But this sounds so friggen cool. Something so small and light with a V8 just sounds like it was built for speed .

I always find it curious when a car that doesn’t even look like it belongs within 20 feet of a sports car is a race car. Proves to show you can race just about anything.

Given the chance I would love to ride along in a drift build. It looks like fun.

It’s one of the better looking prototype racecars. They are not visually pretty, but are functionally pretty.

Well, the story goes that they wanted to stick a Rover V8 in it, but the engine was too big to fit in the front, so they moved it to the back. But then the engine took up too much space to make it rear wheel drive, so they stuck a differential from a Jaguar in the front and decided to jus t go with it. Th ey said that it handled like a hammer thrown handle-first, but was very fast. They also said that the weird handling resulted in the car weaving around a bit on the track, so they could often stay in the lead for long periods of time because people were afraid to pass them :)
